تخيل نفسك وأنت في صحراء مقفرة حيث يكوي لظى الشمس جسدك كياً .. كيس بلاستيكي أسود يغطي رأسك ليحجب عنك النور والهواء ..
ابنك بجانبك يبكي .. ربما يبكي عليك .. ربما يبكي على نفسه .. بل ربما كان يبكي على الوطن برمته ..
لم يبق لك من تحسس ملذات هذه الدنيا الفانية إلا يد جعدة عرفت من خلالها أن طفلك يبكي عندما تحسست بها وجنته ..
لا تتعب نفسك بطمأنته والتخفيف عنه ولا تقل له : لا تبكي يا ولدي .. أزمة وستمر وذلك لسببين اثنين أولهما أن ذلك الكيس اللعين تكفل بخرسك .. وثانيهما أن هذه الأزمة ليست عابرة بل ستتبعها أزمات وأزمات ..
أدعوكم أعزائي أن تضعوا أنفسكم محل هذا الرجل لثوانٍ قليلة .. هل ستحتملون ذلك ؟؟؟

حصلت صورة أسير عراقي لدى قوات الاحتلال الأمريكي وهو يحتضن ابنه البالغ من العمر 4 سنوات على جائزة "صورة العام الصحفية الدولية" عن عام 2003. وقد هيمنت كل من الحرب الأنجلو أمريكية على العراق وممارسات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي بحق الشعب الفلسطيني على معظم الصور الفائزة.
وتظهر صورة عام 2003 مواطنا عراقيا وضع على رأسه كيسا أسود وهو يحتضن طفله المذعور خلف الأسلاك الشائكة، وكلاهما يجلس على الأرض في معسكر لأسرى الحرب بالقرب من النجف في العراق في 31 مارس 2003.
وحصل على الجائزة المصور الفرنسي "جون مارك بوجو" الذي يعمل بوكالة أنباء آسوشيتد برس الأمريكية، وقد تنافس بوجو مع 4176 مصورا من 124 دولة عرضوا أكثر من 63 ألف صورة.
وقالت "روث أيشهرن" مديرة التصوير في مجلة "جيو" الألمانية والمحكمة في لجنة اختيار الصور السبت 14 -2-2004: إن الجائزة الأولى منحت لبوجو للقيمة الرمزية والتعبيرية لصورة الأب وابنه.
وأضافت أيشهرن لرويترز أن الصورة توضح "المعاناة في حرب معقدة"، مشيرة إلى أن أغطية الرأس والوجوه البلاستيكية لم تستخدم كثيرا من قبل؛ لهذا فإن الصورة مفزعة للغاية. كما أنها تصور حب الأب لابنه.
Jean-Marc Bouju wins premier award
The international jury of the 47th annual World Press Photo contest has selected as World Press Photo of the Year 2003 a color image of the French photographer Jean-Marc Bouju of The Associated Press. The picture shows a detained Iraqi man comforting his 4-year-old-son at a regroupment center for POWs near Najaf, Iraq. The picture was taken on 31 March 2003.
4,176 professional photographers from 124 countries participated in this year’s World Press Photo contest, the premier annual international competition in press photography. With a total number of 63,093 images, the 2004 contest attracted a record number of entries. The percentage of digital submissions also shows an exceptional increase: 80.7 percent of all images were submitted in digital format (in 2003 this figure was 69%). The judging took place in Amsterdam 1-12 February. The jury gave prizes in 10 theme categories to 61 photographers of 23 nationalities from: Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, Cuba, Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Indonesia, Iran, Ireland, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Palestinian Territories, Russia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom and the USA.

Jean-Marc Bouju, the author of the World Press Photo of the Year 2003, will receive his award and a cash prize of 10,000 euro at an awards ceremony in the Oude Kerk, Amsterdam, on Sunday 25 April 2004. The ceremony is preceded by a three-day program of lectures, discussions and screenings of photography. Two exhibitions will be shown in the Oude Kerk: the annual award-winning pictures and a special selection of Bouju’s work. The exhibitions are open for public 26 April through 20 June and will subsequently visit over 80 locations around the world.
